We love doing puzzles!

We love doing puzzles in the library. We work together to solve the puzzles.
Look at our awesome puzzles we have done!

Giraffes Can't Dance!

Today when we went to the library, Miss Haydon read us a story called Giraffes Can't Dance.

We really liked the story.. Here is what some of the room 9 children said about the book.

The animals threw the flowers to the giraffe because they liked his dancing.
Julita

My favourite part was when the grasshopper cheered up the giraffe and played his violin.
Pearlinita

The giraffe did a somersault and he tried really hard to learn a dance.
Dannii

My favourite part of the story was when Gerald looked at the moon with his friends. It was a really happy ending.
Angel

I really liked the part when the cricket sung a song. He tried to make the giraffe happy because all the animals were being really mean to Gerald.

Planting our Special Tree

On Thursday Room 9 had a very important job to do. We had to plant a tree that was given to the teachers for World Teachers Day.

We talked about what trees needed to grow up big and strong.

We decided that trees need water, soil, sunshine and lot's of love!

Here we are planting the special tree to celebrate our wonderful teachers!

Great work Room 9 :)

Niuean Language Week

Fakaalofa lahi atu everyone!

This week was Niuean Language Week and to celebrate we learnt this song called Sipaio. Here we are at our special assembly performing our song to the whole school.

We think we look and sound pretty good don't you?

Drop - Cover - Hold!

On Thursday we had an earthquake drill. Now Room 9 know just what to do in an earthquake. Luckily it was just a practice but it is important to know what to do in an earthquake just in case. Here we are covering under our tables and holding onto the legs to keep safe.

Do you know what to do in an earthquake?
